"In the end, our pilgrimage to the ballparks was about more than the game of baseball, but about what baseball can do."

Miles for Charity

Turning a road trip into something bigger than baseball.

The Mission

From the very beginning, our journey was about more than checking ballparks off a list. We wanted to use the trip to make a difference. At every stadium we visited, we collected baseball memorabilia — autographed items, programs, keepsakes, and team merchandise — from all 30 MLB teams across the country.

The Auction

Once the tour was complete, we auctioned off the memorabilia we had gathered along the way. Baseball fans from across the country had the chance to own a piece of our journey — and every dollar raised went directly to charity. The response from the baseball community was humbling and generous.

Women in Sports Foundation

All proceeds from the auction were donated to the Women in Sports Foundation, an organization dedicated to advancing the lives of girls and women through sports and physical activity. Founded in 1974 by Billie Jean King, the foundation provides research, advocacy, and direct funding to help level the playing field for female athletes at every level.

We chose this cause because we believe sport has the power to transform lives — and because our daughter Sofia deserves to grow up in a world where every girl has the same opportunity to play, compete, and lead.

Why It Mattered

Every mile we drove, every hotdog we ate, every inning we watched — it all added up to something meaningful. Baseball brought us to 38 states and introduced us to thousands of fans who share a love of the game. Through their generosity, we were able to give back in a way that will outlast any box score.
